Dental Implants
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is a titanium screw, placed under local anaesthetic with precision into the jaw bone.
In the days proceeding placement, the jaw bone grows onto the surface of the implant in a process called osseo-integration.
How does it work?
Upon integration with the jaw bone, a single crown or bridge can be constructed and combined with the dental implant, giving a fixed long term replacement for missing teeth.
Implant retained dentures are also an option for the replacement of multiple missing teeth.
Can dental implants be a solution for me?
There are many factors that contribute to the success of dental implants. Bone density, general health and oral hygiene all must be considered prior to planning your treatment options. If not properly cared for, implants can be lost just like natural teeth.
May House offers no obligation implant consultations with our implantologist whether or not you are a registered patient of the practice
