630 mile Coast Path Challenge!
Dr Sandra Dring is walking the entire south west coast path from Minehead to Poole to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. This incredible charity is close to many of our hearts and is making some amazing breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of this heart-breaking condition.
The scenic South West Coast Path is a trail partially walked by many residents of Devon and Cornwall, however, Sandra is taking this challenge to a whole new level and walking it, in its entirety, camping along the way. All 630 miles of rolling hills and rocky terrain.

In May 2020 our dentist Dr Sandra Dring planned to take on the Outlaw Half Triathlon in Nottingham! This challenge includes a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride and finishes up with a 13.1 mile run!
The recent events of 2020 have postponed this event, however the training continues and we are hoping to have details soon on a future event!
Taking on this grueling course, Dr Dring aims to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s research UK!
Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure. They fund a broad range of research projects to understand dementia and drive towards better diagnosis, preventions and treatments. In September 2019 the whole May House team got involved in our Macmillan coffee morning and cake sale!
Home made cakes were on sale to patients, family, friends (and a few were sold amongst the team), and the event was an amazing success! The May House Ladies managed to raise an incredible £110.00 for Macmillan cancer support and they are all looking forward to hosting another cake sale in 2020! Well done ladies!
